Strawberry Jam!

After working 29 hours straight, then sleeping the night away, my husband requested what we call "grandma potatoes" for breakfast. What are grandma potatoes you ask? I will tell you! But, I have made changes over the years and I will explain. See these potatoes started with my super awesome grandma Pearline. When Jesus and I were dating we would go to visit my grandma quite often, and being able to visit and have breakfast was a real treat for my hubby. We have not had her breakfast for many many years. But I do my best to recreate them, although I know they do not compare, they are close enough.

First saute onion in olive oil,
grandma cooked with butter flavored vegetable shortening
as they are cooking cut up potatoes like this, they should be thin,
any potatoes will do grandma always did it with russets
cook them on medium for a while
season with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic.
Do not cook them till they are mushy you want them slightly underdone
yummy!
Last night Sophia helped me make garlic crusted pork loin and mashed acorn squash

Today I made old fashioned strawberry jam
Now to get back to my wine! and Alice in Wonderland
